About Jennifer

Regent McGrath represents District 2, appointed to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Dr. Lois Tarkanian. A distinguished attorney and law firm co-founder, she has dedicated her career to advocating for survivors of sexual abuse, holding hospitals, schools, and physicians accountable for systemic failures. Her most notable case involved representing over 300 women against an abusive physician and the health system that employed him.

Beyond law, Jennifer spends her time involved in a variety of philanthropic works that reflect her desire to make Nevada an even better place to live. She is committed to modernizing higher education to prepare students for a rapidly changing world.

Jennifer's Priorities

Expand Access for Working Students

Nevada families shouldn't have to choose between a degree and financial stability.

Career-Ready Programs

Push NSHE to build programs in healthcare, tech and AI that lead to good-paying jobs Nevada's economy needs.

Help Students Cross the Finish Line

Support first-generation and working adult students so fewer are forced to drop out.

Accountability & Transparency

Be a check on bureaucracy, not a rubber stamp. Bring independent judgment to protect every NSHE institution.

Protect Free Expression

Champion clear, viewpoint-neutral free speech policies at every NSHE campus.
